"Turret Arch" Arches National Park, UT It is possible to capture Turret Arch through The North Windows arch, creating this amazing scene. To get to this location, you have to climb through the North Window and scramble up some rocks. This is one of the best views within Arches National Park, in my opinion. Technical Details: Shot with a Canon 5d Mk2 and a Canon 20mm prime lens at F16. Bracketted images stitched and merged to create a wider dynamic range.
"Sky Fire" Estes Park, CO This is an image from my family vacation to Estes Park, Colorado in 2010. I wasn't planning on shooting this evening, as we had just arrived and were still getting setup and unpacked. However, as the sky unfolded out the window of our rental house, I knew I needed to shoot it. I was able to quickly scamper down the hill from our place to a small lake and capture this image. The colors were fantastic, and only last for a few minutes. Technical Details: Shot with Canon 30D and Canon 10-22mm lens at F16 and 1/8. Panorama created from 24 vertical bracketted shots.
