"Lake Lawtonka" Western Oklahoma I came upon this lake while chasing storms in Western Oklahoma. The passing storms had left the sky an amazing color, and it reflected in the water very nicely. "Summit Lake Sunrise" Swan Valley, MT This small lake is called Summit Lake. It is located in the Swan Valley area just to the South of Big Fork, MT. I left Flathead Lake very early to get to this location for sunrise. It was a full moon, so the deer were out in force, and I had to drive very slowly. Once I finally reached this location and starting setting up for sunrise, I startled a large white tail deer out of the brush near me. Moose constaly bugled their erie calls as the sun lit up the mountains in the distance in a pre-dawn alpine glow. Technical Details: Shot with a Canon 10D and a Canon 20mm prime lens at F16. "Autumn Glory" Maroon Bells National Recreation Area, CO The Maroon Bells area is located just East of the town of Aspen, Colorado. In the fall, the aspens in this area turn a billiant yellow. I went here several times during my trip to Colorado, and experienced different conditions each time. On this morning, fog covered the whole valley when I first arrived. As it started to get later, the fog mostly burned off leaving this beautiful scene. Technical Details: Shot with Canon 30D and 20mm lens at F16 and 1/40.
