"Majestic" Rocky Mountain National Park, CO This majestic elk was passing by as I drove through the Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. As I approached him to get a picture he turned and stared right into my eyes. I was forzen there until he finally looked away and I was able to take my picture. "Golden Carbondale Valley" Carbondale, CO Just north of Aspen Colorado is the small town of Carbondale. It's a neat little town, and offers much more affordable stay than Aspen itself. When I come to Colorado, I like to stay here and then make the 45 minute drive up to Maroon Bells. In the Fall, the whole valley turns a golden yellow with the changing of the leaves. "Colorado Infrared Dreams" Carbondale, CO I really love how infrared light changes the dynamics of a scene. The light here was overcast, and pretty flat. However, using an infrared filter, everything changes. I converted this to Black and White, as I feel it works well with an infrared scene. "Turret Arch" Arches National Park, UT It is possible to capture Turret Arch through The North Windows arch, creating this amazing scene. To get to this location, you have to climb through the North Window and scramble up some rocks. This is one of the best views within Arches National Park, in my opinion. Technical Details: Shot with a Canon 5d Mk2 and a Canon 20mm prime lens at F16. Bracketted images stitched and merged to create a wider dynamic range.
"Arches Park Predawn Light" Arches National Park, UT While waiting for the sunrise, I decided to capture a long exposure of the clouds streaming overhead. This is around fifteen minutes before the sunrise. Technical Details: Shot with a Canon 5d Mk2 and a Canon 20mm prime lens at F16.
