05-20 Storm Chase in Central TX
I (James) chase a couple of large HP cells just to the South West of Dallas, observing several possible tornadic spin ups.

A nice environment setup for severe storms over the Dallas area on this Thursday afternoon. Several cells fired to the south of DFW right around noon. At 1:30 I decided to head down along I45 and observe the storms. I ended up just south of Palmer, on the service road of I45. Due to the very slow storm motions, I was able to observe the cell for close to 30 minutes as it cycled up and down. I was not in an ideal viewing position, being to the East of the cell, but I observed several rotating funnels back in the rain under the mesocyclone. I was not able to verify if they were touching the ground.
